I don't really think the sign is offensive per se, it however just makes the good ol sheriff and by extension his county look foolish.
I guess I just expect better from so called professionals than to participate in these silly back and forth games. But then again perhaps I should know better, after all they even some pros vying for the presidential candidacy are not above it.......

Utterering the words "I am offended by that" does not imbue you with any special rights or privileges the unoffended don't possess.

You are offended? Well so f***ing what. I'm still waiting to hear what your point is.

And you're right, the British monarchy are inbred. What does that have to do with a gormless southern fried ****kicker with a badge? His "Welcome to Cretinville County" sign is in a county populated by some people who will disagree strongly with it, and his thinly veiled agenda behind the erecting of it. Do their views not count?

The man is a fool, with a world view that ends at the county line, and is probably married to his sister. Look at the back of his patrol car, and you'll most likely see a "Trump 2016" bumper sticker.
The cold hard truth is not appreciated around here. Well said.

Well, geezum crow!

We libruls in New Jersey say Merry Christmas, too! I think they say it in New York, also, and Pennsylvania!

In fact, I would bet that people in every state say Merry Christmas!

It seems, then, that if someone is offended by the words "Merry Christmas", they can just leave the country!

Not 'get out' of the country, just 'leave' the country. There seems to be some confusion over the meanings. They seem pretty similar, to me.

Is that what Deputy Dawg is tryin' to get across?

Better? LOL

I have NEVER met anyone who was offended by someone saying Merry Christmas. NEVER.

Have you? (honestly, now)

Only signs warning "libs" to "keep out" can save the good people from the scourges of enlightenment. What's next, a witch burning?
He is not excluding anyone. The sign states what they do in that county. It didn't say certain people weren't welcome. On the contrary, it says if you are offended, leave. Providing the option of choice. By you claiming he looks like Beck or Rush, aren't you essentially profiling?

And that Bumper sticker is 1000 times more acceptable to the American public than a Hillary 2016

The whole concept, because I'm sure some of us could say something politically incorrect to him and his sensitivities and he'd react plenty rough.

There you go ASSUMING what somebody will do....nowadays some group always seems to be offended by some innocuous comment. Kudos for the sheriff and the people of that county saying this is how we do things here and if you don't like it, you are free to leave. My opinion, people are getting tired of being "politically correct". My advice, be like Elsa and Let it Go

Anyone who thinks there's a war on Christmas, that they're not allowed to say "God bless America," or that they're not allowed to salute American troops is an idiot.

Again, that is not what the sign says. The sign is basically stating the obvious. The sign isn't excluding anyone, staying if you don't like what they do and what they say....LEAVE
