No I consider myself a Muslim who is still learning. After beng anti-Islamic for 65 years I have a lot of erroneous thoughts about Islam. One advantage I have is I do read and write Arabic. Also I have plenty of free time.
Hmmm, there are estimated 12 million Muslims in the United States, and I don't hear about these cases all the time. Maybe it's not so typical. Compare with literally several thousand molestation charges lodged against Catholic priests in the United States. Maybe that's typical.

Then again, maybe it is and just not hitting the major MSM sites.
Go google and see for yourself how situations like this are only reported in local news.
I googled yesterday and read a story of a 19 year old beaten and maimed by her parents and other relatives because she spoke with a man.
She didn't press charges either. Said her family was just doing what they needed to do to keep her pure for marriage.
Then I read of other stories..fathers killing their daughters in several states. Oh they got caught and charged but it was still honor killings of their own kids.
And it doesn't make it to national MSM news.
There's no such thing as a "moderate" Muslim.
There are Muslims and extremists.
What would have he done if the daughter were partying at the Mardi Gras?
or an LGBT parade.
