To be fair, I'd do the same thing if my (imaginary) 14 year-old daughter got a tramp stamp, and that would have nothing to do with Islam.

I always interpreted that as meaning that we should not beat our children, but spoil (love) them.

Mick, giving a violent beating is wrong - especially from a grown man to a young teenage girl.
Also, there is a HUGE difference between getting a tramp stamp and not wearing a dehumanizing rag on your head.
