pro-breastfeeding bullies are getting out of hand. They're really nothing but a bunch of attention whores.
It's also a phony culture war. Nobody has a problem with a mother breastfeeding as long as it's done discreetly, which these exhibitionists have no intention of doing. When somebody asks them to cover up they cry discrimination and then run to the media.
The victim mentality is out of control with this cabal. It's a shame they're allowed to breed.
In the same post you whine that they're bullies, then you bleat about them having a victim mentality.
Pretty incoherent on your part. And I have no doubt that the irony therein is completely lost on you...
I'm not sure how that photo shuts down 'shamers'. It certainly doesn't change my opinion, in fact it sort of reinforces the thought that watching a woman let it all hang out for the sake of being PC doesn't make it any more attractive.

I have no problem with women breastfeeding in public. I breastfed all three of my kids in public places (though I did cover myself up more than she did, because I KNEW that people would react the way people are on this thread). WHAT is the big deal? Americans are so unbelievably puritanical. And contradictory. What about Victoria's Secret stores/advertising in malls and catalogs in the mail? That's only one example, because female skin and body parts are used everywhere to sell anything and everything. Do y'all complain about that "pornography," too? Somehow, I doubt it.
Having said all of that, however, I happen to think this particular woman is more a grandstander looking for attention and publicity than she is an advocate for (public) breastfeeding.
^ I have no problem with breastfeeding in public. I breastfed my kids and managed not to make it a public spectacle. I do have a problem with women who whip it out in a lookatmemememe move, which is what this woman is doing under the guise of political correctness.
she's totally correct and i admire her bravery to do this...breasts were made to feed babies, that's it...we are the ones hung up on the whole thing...the more this becomes the norm in time we won't even notice. i always went out to the car because i was more comfortable doing it that way but that's just how i am.

She was called a "dumbass" by another poster. That's pretty solid name calling. LOL.
I would say so. I was referring to one or two posts above my first. Heck the word t*t spelled out was posted as *** out and yet they allow dumba***?
"Breasts are made for feeding babies' is a conservative attempt to put women back in the 'proper place'.They don't want women having any control over what they do with any body part. Pro-breastfeeding Nazis are the same ones who would complain about Victoria's Secret or Janet Jackson(which is relevant),yet have no issue with a woman letting it hang out for baby because in their minds it's all women are good for. Either both scenarios are right or both wrong. I should be able to use my breast for whatever reason I see fit and not get shamed. You can't have your cake and it it too.

You've got things confused. I'm a believer in the health benefits of breastfeeding (and it's easier. Nature's fast food), but I am NO conservative. Pro breastfeeding "Nazis" have no problem with female (or male) nudity. I have no problem with semi nude beaches, for example (in Europe, obviously, because they would never exist in the Puritanical US), graphic sex scenes in movies, etc. And I consider breasts, including my own, to be highly sexual. As for Victoria's Secret, well, I wear it and other lingerie all the time.
What I do have a problem with is the constant objectification of female body parts to sell all kinds of stuff that has nothing to do with sex. Do you think women "own" their sexuality then? Really? Do you think advertisers do it to "empower" women? Really? People have NO problem with that kind of "letting it all hang out" because they've become desensitized to the endless marketing and sexualizing, but they're up in arms when a woman breastfeeds in public?
I will -- and DO, happily -- use my breasts for whatever reason I see fit, and I've never, nor will I ever, be shamed. I HAVE had my cake and eaten it, too, thank you.
