Common sense decision in NY. LA Superintendent went along with the fear factor some have adopted. That played right into ISIS plan.

Ummm..., nope.

I did a statement analysis on the e-mail. In 20 minutes I found eleven things that strongly suggested it was a hoax (the little 'a' in one of the references to Allah was only one half of one of them). And that included the time it took me to write down the findings. I went over it again six hours later and found a half dozen more. This was a blazing hoax - or a test to see which city would react publicly to it. (I've heard both theories.)

The fact that it was final exam time wasn't even raised... hoax threats always go up during final exam time.

New York had this right. LA didn't have the faith in their JTTF that they should have had and got it wrong.

(BTW - New York didn't broadcast that they had received and dismissed the same threat, they merely responded to press inquiries.)

Just sayin'...
