This reminds me of the Russian airline blow up. They make us take our shoes off going through the front door but the back door is wide open for the bad guys to just walk in.

I read this article this morning and thought the same thing. They lost the guy. Great security we have...

I guess the PANYNJ and TSA learned nothing from Flight 93 taking off from Newark on 9/11, another PANYNJ owned airport. Comforting.

Anytime something doesn't makes sense is because we don't know the whole story. There is a long way from the street to the tarmac. How many checkpoints do you have to clear? If you ask me these are all dry runs of one sort or another.

Airport security (especially the TSA) is an absolute JOKE. Anyone can snip some barbed wire, hop a fence, and reek havoc on an airport if they were so inclined. What airports need are vibration sensors around the perimeter (similar to what we set up near the border) and multiple security vehicles to be dispatched when the alarms go off.

We place such a high importance on security of our airports, yet we form the TSA and hire low/no skilled workers to do the most important work at near poverty levels of pay. This has never made any sense to me.

I read the following solution somewhere...

Set up booths in all airport entrances. No need for scans, body and luggage searches or anything else. Everyone entering the airport must first get locked into the booth with all of their luggage. The booth will then detonate any explosives inside of it. Whoever survives gets to fly.

Sort of make perfect sense if you sit back and watch the actions -- not the words.

Some Jesus 101? Regard not the words, but watch the actions.

Quick Conclusion -- There is no real threat to most civilian aircraft (and there never was).

Sort of like the overall Farce of the "War on Terror."

Or the totally lack of security on the Southern US Border.

If there were any real risk, the Top End would keep the Lock Down on the situation.

Look at something they actually ARE concerned about -- Nuke Weapons. They keep a harsh lock down on those and pay top dollar for the folks who will work on them.

Terror, Aircraft Risk, the Border . . . not so much.
