I'm not sure what your point is. Are you truly saying that race is a factor here or are you just in shock that no one is playing the "race card?"
From what I've seen from dismissive MDs, "fat and female" seems to be a major access to care problem over "thin black male." Many MDs, especially males, still minimize as many problems of women as they can. I can only assume this dates back to the "hysteria" diagnosis.
There was never such a racist diagnosis used with blacks that came close to hysteria. And it seems they were indeed treating this woman like she was hysterical and not taking her seriously.
In my observation and experience, the typical factors that influence black people's care are the same that impact poor people's.
