1.3 billion divided by the US population of 319 million is a tad over 4 million for every person in the USA.

In on fell swoop we could end poverty, hunger, homelessness.

Of course 93% of the population would quit work and the economy would go to crap and a loaf of bread would probably cost $1,000 within 3 days.

But its a nice thought.
Don't people think???
IT's STUPID.
Can't you even think?

1.3 billion is 1300 million divided by 319 million = $4.07.
GET IT.
That's FOUR FRICKING DOLLAR, NOT 4 MILLION.

Nice thought, math is still way off.

Tell ya what, you write me a check for what you think $1.3 billion divided by 319 million is, and I'll write you TWO checks for what it really is. Double your money!

What cracks me up is people actually believe this is accurate. As others have easily pointed out. It would warrant a trip to Taco Bell because you would only get about 4 bucks. And to think that the people who honestly thought this was accurate math are happy to vote and want $15 an hour.

Well the good news is if the jackpot gets up to 1.5bill everyone can at least get a select footlong from Subway. Minus sales tax of course.

Could you buy every Powerball combination and guarantee yourself a jackpot? | FOX31 Denver
Invest $584 million in 292 million tickets for all possible combinations so you are guaranteed to win.

NEW YORK — Could you game the system and guarantee yourself a $1.4 billion Powerball jackpot?

Here’s the theory: At $2 a ticket and 1 in 292 million odds, you could seemingly buy every Powerball combination for “just” $584 million — and still walk away with a massive profit.

The lump-sum jackpot payment is estimated to be about $868 million. That alone would give you a handsome $284 million profit if you bought every ticket. And since there are $92 million in lower-tier prizes, you’d win all of those too. And by flooding the system with all those tickets you purchased, the lump-sum value of the jackpot would rise by $200 million — which you’d be guaranteed to get back.

That’s a grand total of $1.2 billion in winnings, $576 million of which would be profit.

The best part: Since you would guarantee yourself a win, all your losing lottery tickets would be tax-deductible. That means you wouldn’t have to pay taxes on the first $584 million of your winnings.

********************
Problem is who has that much to begin with and those who have that much, why need more.

A real bad news will be if there are more than one winners and need to share plus how/where to buy 292 million tickets???
with a drawing every 3-4 days you can't physically buy those 292 million tickets.

This experiment was done years ago with the Virginia lottery and they did indeed win. Numbers were smaller and they had 7 days to buy all the combinations.
