The estate has been valued at $54 million and would require extensive renovation according to what I am reading. While I don't hold the same animus towards Hef as others have expressed, the mansion, at least to me, a home built in 1927 has a great deal of architectural value (I'm a nut for old homes), at least to me. If there are significant original features of the kind of workmanship indicative of the 20's I'd offer somewhere in the vicinity of $40 million on Wednesday after I win the Powerball drawing. If Hef wants to stay their during renovations, that would be cool with me because I hate LA.

200 million and a death clause that Hef gets to stay until he dies.
Add another million to power spray the house and Hefner with bleach.

Maybe Hef has something like this in mind which is becoming popular for the old folks who want to "stay in place" as they age.
