The fact that restaurants exist that are named Waffle House was something I first learned on City-Data. This place broadens our worlds.

Restaurants that pay better usually attract better applicants.

Here's more fun...

8 Fast Food Fiascos That Grossed Out the Nation | Fox News Magazine

Well, luckily in over 30 years of working in various restaurants I only witnessed one incident. I had a couple one busy Sunday morning who were unreasonably picky and when I brought their hash browns back to the cook a third time he was really pis$ed! He threw some oil on the grill, spit on it, then threw some hash browns on it. I went mid evil on him and threatened to get the manager if he didn't wash the grill immediately, which he did. He was actually a really nice guy, but he just lost it in the middle of a high pressure rush.

One new job I was going to start, I walked out on after the first day once they took me in the back to show me where everything was. It was pretty awful...like someone forgot to sweep in the walk-in- fridge... for a few weeks! I heard shortly afterwards they were closed up by the health department.

Anyway, good thing we have immunities... after all, when you pick up that fork the next time you're in a restaurant, ask yourself... "How many mouths has this fork been in today"?

Sorry couldn't resist!

Not only did they their wash hair in the pot.... They didn't drain the pot. And they did it, apparently, in plain view of customers.

This is why I'm becoming afraid of eating in restaurants.

Ugh!

And whatever happened to requiring that hair nets be worn? All that long hair hanging over food that's being prepared/served and over work stations...Yyyyuck.

1) Because the food is good.
2) The price is good.
3) Usually the servers are good.
4) As far as being clean is concerned at least at a Waffle House you can see everything.
