If you honestly think their food is good, I have to question whether or not your taste buds are working properly. You might want to see a doctor and get them looked at.

I dunno... My son and I love Denny's, which is similar in terms of price and "quality."
I wouldn't take my wife there for a dinner night out, but it's a fun, cheap and good enough place to take the kids.

I only ate at Waffle House one time many years ago and it was pretty good. To be honest I usually eat at local Mom and Pop restaurants that cater to the local people. Going to some high end place where the waiters are snobs and you get half portions for "Atmosphere" is crazy to me. Btw, as I posted earlier, in my early years I worked at many restaurants and some of those so called "chefs" had bad tempers and dared anyone to send a plate back.

This is not about the applicants. It is about the management or lack-there-of.

I refuse to eat in Waffle House. Nastiest damned restaurant that I've ever been in. I was in one once where the toilet had overflowed all over the floor, there was crud on the drink dispenser, and the local health department had given it a "C".

Want to sit on a toilet for days? Eat some eggs made over easy with a side of sausage.

Very yucky behavior, indeed.

That said, I belong to a carpool which meets once a month at a local Waffle House. The staff and in particular the manager are great - when I had a flat and the rest of the Waffle House carpool had unknowingly departed, the staff could not have been more gracious and helpful.

Not my favorite dining establishment - but this particular WH is clean, tidy, and has a very pleasantly welcoming group of employees.

Obviously, one size does not fit all, when it comes to inexpensive chain restaurants. Management makes a huge difference.

This is why I'm becoming afraid of eating in restaurants.
Well, I don't eat at waffle house, so I'm good....
