Not too smart going on "Good morning America" now was it?

As the Powerball jackpot topped $1 billion, the frenzy grew. It was fun to dream, even if you knew you stood little chance. But often, a winner faces suits by friends, co-workers, even family. Sadly, it has now happened to the winning Robinson family of Munford, Tennessee. Jonathan Lee Riches, also known as Jihadi Schitz, has sued the Multistate Lottery Commission, Powerball and the Robinson family. The suit attempts to halt the payout of their third of the $1.6 billion win, or to recoup Mr. Riches’ alleged one-half of the loot.
Weird story. Why didn't the woman he supposedly gave the $20 to, buy the tickets herself? Why tell her to give to parents to purchase the tickets? Was she underaged?

Of course this convict has no chance of winning the lawsuit but the family will still have to go to court to get it dismissed.
He's probably hoping they'll pay him a few thou to make it go away. Cheaper than going to court and proving he never sent money.

Because the inmate is lying. The point being NEVER go public if you win the lottery. This is probably just the first of many lawsuits against the couple.
The "simple small town" folks will quickly realize what a rat hole the world is. Hopefully they'll move and stay out of the public arena. AND fire their stupid attorney. Too bad.

Its my understanding that most states don't give you that luxury.

True, but they didn't have to go on the Today Show or GMA or wherever it was they went. Tennessee doesn't even require a local press conference, or even a photo. All they require a winner to release is name and hometown. Sure, the people in that small town would know who it was but the inmate probably would never have known about them if they weren't splashed all over the television for the last 3 weeks.

You create a Trust and that is the name on the lottery ticket.
That's how you can still remain anonymous.
