Well one kid shot another kid in a school... Just because she didn't do the normal "disturbed US teen with access to guns" & shoot a load more kids, it doesn't make it any less horrific! God Bless 'Murica

What happened has been happening for eons. Holy Romeo and Juliet batman!
It's sad when any kid kills themselves and even more tragic when two who "love" each other do so. It doesn't make sense to anyone not directly involved. It's not like it's a mad man gone nuts at a school thing.
Far from "horrific" though.
This also wasn't a suicide pact, which is a conclusion that many jumped to as well.
This was one party in the relationship, getting despondent about having the other partner want to break it off and not having a proper outlet or capacity to deal with those emotions.
So she went to a classmate and got them to get their parents gun for her protection.
Then used that gun to murder the person who was now rejecting her.
Then killed herself.
If that all wasn't bad enough, there are "anti-gay" protesters lurking around the school now - complete lowlifes
I am getting a lab this year. I hope he doesn't shoot me if I get the wrong dog treats.

Look back upon periods of history in the world for thousands of years now and the things humans have been doing to other humans in the name of this/that/the other thing. What's going on now in our country pales in comparison to what has happened in some periods of history, in numbers and methods. Not that this justifies anything as in cases like this but the human specie sure can get scary violent when that reptilian brain goes into fractured overdrive.
