Yeah the hypocrisy here is ridiculous.

I never said she didn't have an agency, of course she did. No one would have given her any job without one...but I maintain this was an organically occurring phenomenon, not something engineered by her agency. Back then models were NOT considered celebrities, there was no such thing as a supermodel, they were nameless faces...it wasn't even considered that a model could be that famous. her agency had nothing to do with it...she had the right look at the right time, and her popularity exploded with her and her agency doing not one thing they didn't do for any other model in their stable.

I'm not reading through the 8+ pages so I apologize if I'm repeating anyone's comments.

The plus-sized model on the SI cover looked a bit.... pornographic to me. I'm not any huge Tiegs fan but she does have a point. Reminds me of the fb post that showed a 1940's picture of a fat man in the circus next to a current picture of a young man who is way bigger than the circus "freak". It used to be rare to see grossly obese people but they've become the norm and are even celebrated. Reflects the glutony that has become our society. AND the "everybody's okay however they want to live as long as they're happy". Hogwash. (no pun intended)

Look at the beloved stars (and family members) who have "killed themselves" by obesity. It's NOT okay.
