A acting career. An eventual marriage to an actor and a Hollywood mover and shaker, first lady of California and then the nation. A long, interesting, fruitful life.
She has left an incredible legacy which includes her extremely bold and brave stance against drug use in the United States.
At the time and in the midst of what was a multi-billion dollar 'war' against those substances that even took the US government into other countries to try to stop the growing and manufacturing of drugs that could enter the US, one woman, against all odds was courageous enough to recommend that we all just 'Say NO! to drugs.'
She certainly was one of the greatest first ladies and loved by millions all over the world. God bless her. What a long, adventurous and meaningful life she had. I can't think of two people who showed more love for each other for so many years.
A great first lady who will be sorely missed, but she is with Ronnie now, happily forever.
