well, I guess they needed to dump excess oil somewhere to decrease oil supplies and increase prices.

Incompetence! Pipelines are always leaking and never maintained until the leak occurs. They DON’T care about the environment, only making profit.

there places in the gulf where crude oil just leaks out of the seabed, its has nothing to do with leaks, it just that close to the surface
