I hope this guy lives and suffers from his wounds for the rest of his life while rotting away in prison.

The most dangerous beast on the planet is the human animal.

I, too, feel sad for those beautiful lions who were shot dead for just doing what they do naturally to a prey animal.

I also feel terribly sorry for the desperate man who would choose a horrible, painful death of being eaten by lions to living. Mental illness pain is beyond comprehension to those of us who don't experience that mental pain, but this horrible incident shows us how truly painful it is.

That's why we are near the top of most food chains. If we were, say, defenseless blobs of jello, we wouldn't keep lions for our entertainment.

I was sick when I saw this.

This man was disturbed, but that hasn't been the case in the vast majority of these incidents. If the idiot humans aren't trespassing to get on social media, they're outright taunting these poor animals.

Almost ten years ago, three punks out looking for trouble on Christmas Day, found it when they jumped over the enclosure at a tiger's cage at the San Francisco zoo. The survivors and family of the deceased won a huge settlement and, of course, the tiger was destroyed, despite the fact that rocks had been thrown at the cat.

Almost 20 years ago, in late spring when schoolkids and teachers often embark on field trips, this time they went to the Buffalo Zoo. Outraged zoo visitors wrote scathing letters to the editor which appeared in our paper here, detailing how the unattended youtz were climbing on cages, pounding on glass enclosures, tossing trash into cages, and otherwise traumatizing the animals, in plain view of zoo staff who stood around and scratched their asinines, essentially supervising the melee, probably because they were afraid to "offend" someone. One woman was so angry she withdrew her own membership from that zoological society--and her annual donation.

We don't need zoos. They exist solely to amuse humans--when they're not abusing the animals. If you want to see lions and tigers, go on a damn safari.

What I want to know is why the didn't TRANQUILIZE the lions instead of shooting them dead. They should have tranquilizer guns available anyway.
