I find it very easy to simply ignore them.

Unfortunately, they don't keep it within their borders. And that's why this is of interest to us as more than just a curiosity piece. The "religion" of no snowmen and no cat pictures and no fun is what they are aggressively exporting to the West, whether we want it or not.

The real point is the ban on any and all images showing HUMANS! Showing a Human images is considered IDOLATRY and strictly forbidden. Their art has been stilted by this since the formation of the religion.

The fanatic was not complaining about pictures of cats or aardvarks or camels. He was complaining about pictures of PEOPLE.

Seems like they pick and choose what's forbidden when it suits them. Those ISIS people have no problem showing themselves in photos executing people. But I suppose in their mind, "that's different".

The Saudi's are too frightened of the terrorists to dare complain.

No pics with cats, no pics with hats
Not with a dog, not with a frog
No, no, sheik doesn't like green eggs and ham.

Funny thing is, you can Google and find all sorts of pics of Saudi princes with their trained falcons. So either royalty is excepted, or that cleric just now pulled that 'fatwa' out of his fat... err... what's the Arabic word for that particular part of the anatomy?

This Muslim is going to take great exception to the Saudi cleric's brand of religious nuttiness.
