little sociopath, he's trying to choke the dog to death using the 'ol accumulative time delay choking method. plus, he may have cut across a bit of the lawn once he got back on his bike (which doesn't appear to be displaying proper registration).

This, unfortunately. What if the situation went the other way....

The kid breaking and entering into private property (he's a little boy, he doesn't know any better) and the dog attacks the boy and kills him. Now the owners get sued and the dog gets put down....because the parents can't keep track of their kids.

That's why even with/without fences, kids need to be taught manners and rules....

Where I grew up the only time the garage door was closed was at night, and when we went some where. If the garage door was open it ment we were home.

I don't find it to be cute at all. I wouldn't want my child sneaking into anyone's yard or garage without my knowing where he was - he trespassed no matter that his intentions were kind. What if the dog had decided to attack him instead of playing with him? It seemed like he knew this particular dog, but this story could have ended tragically. What if the neighbors themselves were hostile, never mind the dog.

For folks who spend too much time thinking of 'what if', do they get some sort of special health insurance? They've got to have more ulcers than most folks.

I think they should hire the kid to take the dog for walks in the afternoons or to exercise the dog by playing ball with him. He'd probably work for ice cream cones.
