look at the apologists...
revolting.

was the US, Paris, Belgium and London, also occupying palestinian land?

save your lies. civilians are NEVER legitimate targets. it just makes you look like the barbarians you defend.

THIS is a map of Palestine territory (note, NOT A COUNTRY) in 1947. Apologists love to show propaganda maps being taught by hamas. Some folks really need to learn actual history. Not revisionist garbage.

arabs rejected this partition. yet no one calls Jordan land grabbers.

Most people don't know that Jordan was gifted to a family from Saudi Arabia known as the Hashemites by the British. Britain sliced off a few parts of the Mandate without anyone saying anything against it since those parts were given to other Arabs.

and no one has a problem with all the Muslim Arabs living in Israel as citizens. by that maps definition, they shouldn't be there. Jews and Muslims wanted self rule. Just like the partition that gave Muslims Pakistan, a HUGE chunk of India - yet there are 172 MILLION Muslims still in India. No one has a problem when it's the Muslims who are benefactors. seems like everyone else gets screwed.

What a shining example of false equivalence.

What you're missing is the map showing the shrinking number of Jews living in the other areas of the Middle East at the same time.

There was the same number of Jewish refugees as the Arab ones. About 600,000 each. Except that Israel took care of their refugees, while the Arabs set them up in camps and surrounded by the barbed wire and soldiers. You can't concentrate on the Arab losses without acknowledging the Jewish losses.

Also, it was the Arabs that declared the war on the Jews, not the other way around. Five Arab states and the Arabs living in the British Mandate attacked the tiny state of Israel and lost. When you are the aggressor and you lose the war, you lose territory. BTW many Arab refugees left their land after listening to the Arab propaganda that was telling them to clear the area in front of advancing armies and return after victory.

And here's the map more accurately showing the balance of land. As you can see the tiny state of Israel was able to absorb 600,000 Jewish refugees from the nearby Islamic countries, but somehow the Arab states didn't have enough land to help the same number of Arab refugees.

Finally, as was already mentioned, what about the chunk of Palestinian land annexed by Jordan ? It's a much bigger chunk than Gaza. How come no one is asking for Jordanians to give it back or be boycotted ? Why such dual standards ? Can it be that this whole confrontation has nothing to do with land and everything to do with not wanting the Jews to have a country of their own in the Middle East ?

Ethnic cleansing leads to reprisal attacks. Reprisals lead to clearing more land on the need (or pretext) to create a security buffer for civilians. The occupying force gains more land over the long run so long as they have more power. If it's a stalemate or the one group has all the land it feels it needs, we have something like Iraq where there's attempts to recover lost land by the smaller group.
No other civilized country in the entire world destroys the home of an entire family because one member has been suspected of violence against Israel. Children that witness these immoral acts can only grow up with hated and an ingrained need for retribution. Therefore, the Israelis will always have to be looking over their shoulder.

Except that Hamas does the same thing in the Gaza Strip for miscellaneous reasons plus Hamas does executions and torture that Israel does not.

It's the same map per UN General Assembly resolution 181 for the partition following the end of the British Mandate.

which was REJECTED by Arabs and then they declared war. how does a resolution rejected by Arabs become a valid argument for Arabs?

United Nations Resolution 181 | Palestinian history | Britannica.com

"The resolution—which was considered by the Jewish community in Palestine to be a legal basis for the establishment of Israel, and which was rejected by the Arab community—was succeeded almost immediately by violence."
