Now, I live and grew up in Oregon.

In Portland recently the mayor determined there was a problem with bike thefts. So he created a special units task force in the city police department and they started extra shifts, sting operations... In the end it was deemed profiling (not enough white people caught) and it was $800,000 down the drain.

However...

In Southern & Eastern Oregon (where I grew up), they just ride up on their horse and lasso those thieves. That's the best way to handle these things.

Til this time of my life, l lost X3 bikes already.

The bike thieves just openly rode the stolen bikes. Some would take the stickers off the stolen bikes to make them appearing theirs.

There were no ways for you arguing with the insane people in an insane country.

A woman went for a ride
then parked her bike outside
It was grabbed by a thief
but his ride was brief
Cuz he can't ride a bike when he's tied.

Pretty brazen on the part of the thief. Not sure I'd ride a bike to Walmart. Wouldn't be expecting a cowboy on horse there either.

It is very simple. We need a law that makes it legal to shoot someone who is stealing your stuff. I guaranty theft crimes will stop overnight. Especially after a few hood rats and meth heads get splashed.

Yup. But that will never happen. Too much money in our current "justice" system.

That is great! I would have liked to have seen that.

Why would they stop a program that is catching thieves? If young black guys are causing the problems while young white guys just walk on by then how is that racist profiling?
What is it with black guys stealing everything and anything? I'm sure they don't like it when something is stolen from them. It is a never ending scourge on society.

I wish I had the link to this funny video but it was about a sting. A bike was left unattended in a park, most people walked by it but some paused and by their body language you could tell they were going to steal it. They looked around, hopped on and took off not realizing that the bike was tied to the tree until they got jocked on or went over the handle bars. It was really funny.
I don't know if this was done in a all black community but it was all young black guys who took the bait and took the bike.

I remember another video that showed a white guy attempting to steal a bike in a park. He was cutting the chain. Out of all the people who walked by and saw the guy, not ONE of them said anything or notified authorities.

Then the videographer set up the same situation with a black guy. Oh, the commotion that ensued! People walking by confronted the guy and accused him of trying to steal the bike.

As if white people don't steal, or murder, or rape! When you read an article about a white guy murdering someone, do you say the same thing? Why do white people murder? smh
You seem to fit into the category of white people are innocent and black people are guilty, no matter the circumstances.
