Maybe a drunk's family can sue Ford after the drunk drives his Explorer off a cliff?

I feel sorry for the surviving husband, but the hotel did not kill the spouse. If the husband had notified police, perhaps the spouse would be alive today.

All customers of any facility have a right to privacy. The Police can override that privacy. I don't think anyone else can.

Imagine IF the husband had wanted to kill the spouse, and the hotel had given out his room number to a random voice on the phone claiming to be his husband...

Sad situation. The hotel is not at fault.

I don't see any basis for a lawsuit.

I'm sure hotels are bound by some form of privacy acts.

I understand his pain now and his need to lash out at what he feels is responsible for his death, but don't see the lawsuit going anywhere.

I suspect the hotels are going to be under siege from lawyers after the Erin Andrews payout!

Hey...it's not my fault, so it has to be someone else's.
