Very sad.
Not sure if this was a case of escalated incident by police involvement.
Someone called seeing a man with a gun and cops engaged and he took hostages.
Or could have been worse had the cops not engage.

I don't know if it's true but some are reporting the shooter is Omar Mateen from Port Saint Lucie FL (125 miles from Orlando) Some say he was born in the USA and his parents are afghans. Others report he had made some threats in the past but they don't know the details of those threats.

It hasn't been a good weekend for Orlando. It seems all the crazies from other parts of FL have decided to make Orlando their target.

He came armed with a rifle and handgun. He was planning to kill as many people as possible. The cops saved lives.

FBI just discounted this thought. Further state this attack at this club was "no coincidence".

I do hope you're not trying put any blame on the police. They stormed the facility after hostages were taken and people were already being shot. I'm not sure how the police could possibly have "escalated" the situation. From what I've read, they saved many live.

I don't think he was trying to blame police but CNN is talking about A police officer coming to the scene having a quick shootout with the shooter then him running inside the building.

Yes, the police should've just stood around until good old Omar decided he was done.
