I don't think he was trying to blame police but CNN is talking about A police officer coming to the scene having a quick shootout with the shooter then him running inside the building.
The police officer was working door security at the club when he confronted the terrorist and a shootout ensued.

No blaming cops (except probably the one outside), just thinking if outcome would be less violent but if it's planned, probably outcome wouldn't be anything better.
It's sad that the officer outside engaged in shootout but couldn't kill/injure him before he entered inside.
A person with gun shooting at officers outside was able to go inside. That's bad.
I know it's easy to be armchair judge but officer outside the club was not competent.

June is National Gay Pride Month. Different cities across the country pay their tribute on different weekends. Was yesterday Orlando's Pride Celebration Day? The reason I am asking is that 100 people in a club minutes before closing time seems like a lot for just an ordinary Saturday night (even for Orlando), unless it was a special celebration.
Hopefully, local law enforcement/FBI will beef up their security in these cities for their own Gay Pride Days. My daughter, her wife, and their friends regularly go to NYC's Pride Parade and to a club afterwards. As a Mom this terrifies me now, but I know that this mass murder would not stop them from going. You cannot live your life in fear, or the crazies, whoever they are, have won.
I can't help but be furious about this.
Again, we as a country face another shooting of a mass scale...where dozens lose their lives. These mass shootings have become so routine.
When are we going to wake up? Seriously. How many mass shootings must we endure?

That Texas officer who stopped a rifle armed assailant was a fluke. In the real world the spy with a handgun doesn't kill soldiers with rifles and body armor. He was supposed to lose and 99 out of 100 officers will lose that fight.
I read that one officer was wounded but they didn't say who. They sent in a SWAT team so they must have been protected and heavily armed.
Yes, the news says he got hit on the helmet and the helmet was bulletproof so didn't kill him but has some injuries on the face.
