Mayo is stupidly easy to make. Perhaps people figured this out?
Not really. The neighborhood in Brooklyn this store is in, the rents are as high as $5,000 a month for 2br, so the people in the neighborhood can afford the $40 mayo.
This post said exactly what I was thinking. Home made mayo is easy, and even if it's not homemade, flavored mayo would be stupidly easy to make. Add spice to mayo and stir.

What is the going price for that anyway????Cause mayo is most the time free.... You can walk in any gas station, cafetaria and so on and grab a handfull packages.
Ghost pepper is awesome. Bought the hot sauce recently, its potent stuff and has flavor to boot.
