Like watching a train wreck; I can't look away.

But I am going to watch from the relative safety of my own living room.

Located at Rio De Janeiro I wouldn't have gone anyway, having no desire to be mugged on the local bus or set on fire, but seriously, it does not sound like a fun place to go and spend a week watching athletes being sickened from touching the polluted water or athletes being robbed at gunpoint as they try to practice, so I'll participate via television.

Those of you going might want to take a folding chair, in case the stadium seats aren't finished.

I hope these games go better than I think they will.
This level of ineptitude does not bode well for the summer games. It's going to be a disaster. Brazil is just a giant third world country.

And lots and lots, no, gallons of bug spray. Good luck!

I guess we just found the metaphor for that entire debacle.

Maybe a more fitting Mascot would be a Mosquito.

It does make you wonder how bad it can possibly get.

From the headline I thought a guy in a jaguar suit was shot by the rampant criminal element of Rio.

From the photo it looked like they had a good handle on that cat with 2 guys with nooses on poles but as we have seen time and again if you take a wild animal out of its habitat (or zoo cage) what bad could happen?

Such a shame they had to shoot that beautiful cat.

It could be that the benefit of the Olympics to remind those of us in the USA that as bad as we think things here are at times....much of the rest of the world is royally jacked up in comparison.
