Great idea! Let's ban all the human characters too, since they caused the recent death of Harambe

So they are supposed to change the whole story about Peter Pan so as not to offend a small percentage of people? Should we change the history books too so people aren't offended by slavery, immigrants, the Holocaust, etc.? I think political correctness has run amok with too many people getting offended by every little thing.

Since you also live in SW Florida, what about those Alligator Pool Floats they sell here? I guess they better stop selling those or some kid might think they can go for a ride on a Gator?

IF you think this is silly that a place that markets itself to kids and their families decides not to flaunt the idea of aligators being part of the imagery in their park...

nevermind.
There are wild Florida Panthers here though. I live in Naples and have seen one sleeping in the sun alongside a major roadway. Wild animals are everywhere.

I don't believe they ever "flaunted" alligators over any other Disney animal.

Diseney should have done this years ago. It shouldn't take someone dying for this commons sense policy. it's a lake in Orlando, not the Serengeti, yellowstone or the everglades. I can't believe people are complaining about this, but then I remember people saying a gorilla is more important than a child or that a lion hunter should be executed. People stated that exact thing. Disgusting.

Gators are not endangered. They should be mostly eradicated from northern and central Florida. It's absurd that people can't go swimming in ANY freshwater lake. A bunch of folks afraid to impose their natural right as the top animal in the ecosystem. Humans are supposed to be at the top of the food chain due to our brains. Humans have been out of the wild too long and have lost common sense. Nature gave us brains which allow us to build tools to defend ourselves.

Putting gators ahead of people is stick in the head. Giving land owner rights to gators...shaking my head. It's the same crap with sharks. Lunatics afraid to cull a few sharks in areas where attacks are common. You want to go see gators, go to the everglades. Not Disney world. Common sense. Gators are dumb reptiles without any feelings or relationships. Like a fish. People come first.

People come first to YOU.

I was on Team Harambe. I think the crocodile thing is going overboard. I don't think the cougar should have been shot or the meerkat family killed. I don't want every animal on the planet killed to assure my safety if I decide to wander wherever.

And YES, before you ask, I would most certainly save my dog from drowning/fire/whatever before I'd save you because I happen to LOVE him.

Being the highest (such an arrogant attitude) on the food chain matters not IMO.
