It's one thing to be a 15-year-old idiot (but I repeat myself).

It's another thing to be a 46-year-old moron.

When does the lawsuit against the Sparkler makers begin? If the sparklers had no warning against taping dozens of sparklers together...?!

Given how some people do not know what "do not swim" means, they probably do need to have a 1000 page list of things not to do with sparklers.

I posted this on another thread and I'll post it again here.

I'm not a fan of the individual use of fireworks. I prefer the public displays. Every year this sort of thing happens, or someone dies or their house burns down, etc. The pets suffer. My dog is terrified. He'd run away if we didn't help him through the ordeal and keep an eye on him. So many people lose their pets permanently. It's not worth it.

I looked at that picture of the kid on his GoFundMe page. My heart breaks for him.

So because of a few idiots that do not use them properly, no one should be able to use them? Sure, I agree there should be some limit for some of them, the types that are nothing more than a colorful bomb, but sparklers? roman candles? bottle rockets? There will always be stupid people, but no reason to punish everyone for their actions. There are in fact plenty of users that have no issues, out of all the people using fireworks last night, how many incidents were there?

Keep pets locked up, problem solved.

From the article, seems this kid often did things like this, was careless in using them, and the parents knew this.

That is how it is in New Jersey. Politicians know best. We can't even pump our own gas.

If you look at the politicians we continue to elect, you will see why we can't handle pumping our own gas, let alone handle a sparkler (also illegal in NJ)
