I obviously need to take up a career in art if people are actually being paid for making stupid art like that. I'm sure I could come up with something asinine.
Absolutely!!!!!
In in construction as well....... Back in a minute
this is the actual piece. No one bothered to look up the actual piece in question before commenting, huh?
My apologies...this might be an earlier work entitled the same thing. I am having a hard time finding a verified photo of the actual piece in question.
art is why I get up in the morning
but my definition ends there
and it doesn't seem fair
that I'm living for something I can't even define
there you are right there
in the meantime

Honestly, people who aren't into art don't usually hear an explanation and then "get it". Art is about seeing things from a different perspective.
I don't see a crossword puzzle as art, but I also don't see a picture of a can of Campbell soup as art either. I've often wondered why Andy Warhol is so well thought of in the art world.
I hope the lady isn't in serious trouble or stressed out, poor thing.
The “artwork” in question consists of a shabby crossword puzzle cut out from an old newspaper, pasted onto a scratched black background and titled “Reading-work-piece.” Next to it is a sign which reads: “Insert words.”
Y'all are showing some real lack of understanding of what art actually is.
I don't think so. I know that art is about self-expression. There just happens to be good art and also bad art. Most contemporary art is not very good, IMO.
