I'm not really sure why you keep trying to make this a race issue. I didn't see any stories in the media criticizing Gabby. Lochte however, has been all over the news and social media for the last week, and there has been a lot of nasty things said about him. A lot of people have never liked Lochte, and this isn't helping his case with those people. And I've only seen him referred to as a kid once by one person, so you can stop trying to claim that everyone is calling him a kid.
Lohcte is a dumbass..they made up the story to cover up the fact they were shook down by a security guard (common in latin american and south american countries) when they got caught breaking down a door at a gas station to use the bathroom..do you know how much money he is going to lose in endorsement deals now?..dumb, dumb, dumb.
Shook down? More like they paid for the damaged they caused and were lucky NOT to be officially arrested and thrown into jail that morning.
I have it on good authority that the swimmer's mommies said that their boys are good boys and would never ever do anything bad like this...hmmmm, where have we heard that before?

Anyone watching the Brazilian police press conference?? Based on what I'm seeing here, this will not help the image of the police there. Turns out that yes the swimmers were held at gunpoint and perhaps even did press the gun to Lochte's head but not "violently" according to police (I actually laughed out loud at that). And the swimmers didn't even file a police report - the police were just "investigating" based on rumors and TV reporting? Sooo glad I don't live there!
No, the police were responding to the scene of a crime. That is their job.
It is amazing how many here want to put the Rio officials and police under the microscope for responding to crimes committed by our citizens. WE should be investigating, apologizing to Brazil for the childish acts of OUR young men, forcing the swimmers to personally apologies, and seeing that they are expelled for an appropriate period from the team that represents all of us.
Gabby's endorsement deals are something like 5x the size of Lochtes for starters.
Now he's losing his endorsements over his actions....and she isn't.

Lochte is losing endorsements and she isn't. That's the major difference. Explain to me again this magical privledge he has as he loses 10mil in endorsements?

Is it not strange that it took the police a few days to come up with the truth? The incident happened on Tuesday, and all of Tuesday and Wednesday the police acted like they didn't know what happened. And now today the story is that the police were called to the gas station for vandalism and the money was just a fine the swimmers paid? The police didn't know about this incident prior to today? They needed to open up an investigation to uncover their own work?! I'm sorry, but that just still sounds like some fishy with the police.
It's been my experience that it takes time to go back over records, review video's, question witnesses, and get the story right, rather than just blurting out what you think happened. Would be the same story here in America where it sometimes takes police weeks to get it "right."

No, it is not in this case. In this country it would be classed as civil arrest. If later it was found that the arrest was not legal or appropriate - then it may be called kidnapping.

You don't go to foreign countries, break their laws, and then expect or demand to be treated as if you were in America. That is where the term "Ugly American" comes from.

The post was in response to a grown man's mothers denial, in regards to her son's criminal behavior. The extreme examples were put forth to show how far a mother will go to protect her dysfunctional son.
