her friend, JJ Sandy, 25, was storing a magazine from his .45-caliber Glock 21 in the oven.

We don't store stuff in our ovens.

But my mother routinely puts things in her lower oven (pots, etc).

[Both of us have double ovens. Just standard around here.]

Bc my mom does this, it has just become a habit for me to always check both ovens before turning them on.

Exactly! If the round was in a magazine it just popped like a fire cracker! You aren't getting shot if a round isn't enclosed by the gun's barrel to direct pressure in one direction.

Maybe he should use the toaster to store his bullets from now on...

Why wouldn't the man just do his own laundry?

My immediate first thought was, O-o-o-kay, what caliber was it?

Totally did not expect a loaded magazine in the oven.

Maybe the gun was hot and he wanted to hide it?

The magazine exploded about 9 p.m. ET, spraying casing fragments at high speed and striking Walker. She managed to pick some of the fragments out of her leg and chest and then took a bus to the hospital, where she was treated and released.

Do you realize how silly that sounds?
I've been instructed and ordered to NEVER under ANY circumstances touch the laundry by my better half.
