I can see the appeal, you get a tattoo from a top level artist for free. Most of the top artists have long waiting lists and are expensive. It looks like you get a fairly simple black and grey design. I would do it on the upper arm or back, not the inside forearm though. That is an area where you want to know what they plan to put there before it happens.
There is so much more to this than just some random tattoo. First off, this artist is a well known artist and his work is amazing. The people willing to go through this already know Scott Campbell's style and quality. Chances are, they are very anxious to have work done by him and will wear it proudly. Looking at the tattoos this artist has done, his linework is amazing!!!
Also, it isn't uncommon in the tattoo world for people to seek out specific artists because of their specialty and then give artists free reign to draw/tattoo what they want.
For instance, if you are looking for a black and gray portrait, you are going to find an artist that specializes in portraits.
This reminds me of Impractical Jokers when Sal ended up with a Jaden Smith tattoo. A 40-year-man is walking around with Will Smith's teenage son on his thigh.
With an attitude like that, you're probably doing them a favor.
Then it's a win-win, no?

Hey, it's just the way I see it, if 80% of the population had 'em I'd still prefer to deal with the 20% that didn't have them.

But back to the topic at hand. I would never do this because I want my tattoo to be a reflection of what I want; not what the artist wants. A free tattoo is worth exactly what I paid for it.
That is your call Scooby, you may see me as narrow-minded, in a free and democratic society that is your privilege, just as it is mine to categorise tattooed people in my mind, as one groschen short of a złoty.

Nope. Because you're potentially missing out on some great people and great relationships. Your loss.

BIG difference between not liking tattoos and not liking people just because they have tattoos.
