I'm often amazed by these stories of lost pets travelling enormous distances. My first thought always that humans were probably involved in transporting the animal, probably carrying it as an unknown stowaway.

Do cats have a roaming instinct? Most just seem to be instinctively territorial, and will generally stay in an area so long as they can find adequate food and shelter.

I have read other stories of dogs and such who travel 100s of miles....... Its really amazing they can find thier way!!!
