I couldn't be happier for Tiger and golf in general. Golf needs a true superstar and Tiger is the real deal. The networks are happy because Tiger garners better ratings. We got to see him in person at the Players Championship and its a heck of a lot more fun with him than without him. Also the PGA gives more to charity than any other sport and has given 5 times as much as the NFL. 2 Billion and counting.

Philanthropic work:

"Tiger Woods
The man who could arguably be called the world’s best golfer has been involved in charity work and donations for some 20 years. His Tiger Woods Foundation provides money for deserving but impoverished students who want to go to college. It awards dozens of grants to improve under-privileged children’s health. Millions of young people have benefitted from his generosity.

The foundation has doled out over $30 million in grants, scholarships and internships. It also provides specialized education on such courses as graphic design, marine biology, and aerospace engineering so that these students have a meaningful career upon graduation. Additionally, he donates regularly to Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Rainforest Foundation Fund and Caddy for a Cure."

Golf bores the heck out of me, but I think tiger woods coming back is great for the sport. Kind of a feel good story to me.

I truly don't understand why the fans were so behind him yesterday.

Tenacity, that's way. Most people like a come back story. Back surgery is to picnic. Some never recover. Tiger could barely walk, let alone swing a club, and well enough to win again. Plus he's worth about $800 million,(buys lots of hookers) and could of just gave up and just sit back and enjoy life. He had other thoughts.

This has got to be one humongous dose of confidence.

If he breaks Jack's record, wouldn't surprise me now.

Trump tweeted today he's going to award Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
