Not strictly true Creamer, I got pulled over one night just off U.S.41, near Masaryktown, blew over the top on the breathalyser, as did my wife, which surprised me, and the cop told me to follow him to a supermarket parking lot about a half mile up the road.
He said, "I think that you're a gentleman who has made an error of judgement, lock your car, and I'll take you home."
I think that his shift was finishing, and that booking a foreign citizen presented a lot of unwanted hassle.
It cured me though, it was taxis everywhere from then on, be it in the U.S., Spain, Portugal, or wherever we went on vacation.
I wouldn't do it at home in the U.K., for fear of losing my licence, but I'd seriously pushed my luck abroad up until that night in Florida, I felt genuine shame for it.

The cloud belongs to him and him alone.

He could've easily been framed. NO DUI whatsoever. People are arrested for not even having ONE alcholic drink

Don't fall for this money making endeavor. There are quotas which need to be met, he may have been

at the wrong place at the wrong time

I only had a beer or two officer. That's pretty common but what I don't find believable is that people are getting arrested for dui/dwi for a single drink or less

except the initial reports "cop said he smelled alcohol"......oh wait, TW must have spilled a drink on himself while taking the prescription drugs at 3am......anything coming out now is simply Tiger's PR people trying to spin the arrest.
