I was never cut out for that type of work so it doesn't interest me. Lol!

I almost wonder if this is someone's project just to get reactions from people and then write about it. I don't think jobs like this are that uncommon, but they usually aren't spelled out like that. I would think some people who would request this service at that pay would probably just hire someone under the table to do the work and not advertise. Sounds like a job for an aspiring actor.

To each's own. Sounds like an assistant to a celebrity. No way would I do all that for 25 bucks an hour. 525 an hour to start with. I can see this couple be the world's biggest pain in the @ss.

The fact that it's on Craigslist, tells me this is not a genuine "rich couple", but instead, is someone collecting Social Security numbers for purposes of Identity Theft. Or, they could be looking for young women to force into prostitution. Maybe both...

The way it's written, the ad will appeal to the gullible and the desperate. And the interviewees won't be averse to abusive situations. A 'good' con artist throws out certain questions or statements, which will cause wise people to FLEE. After running that 'filter', what they're left with, are people who're UNWISE: ideal prey.

Since the job is on-call 24x7, they should pay $25 per hour 24 hours per day. That would come to around 18,000 per month. Still not worth it, but better than $4000 per month.

The interesting thing here, IMHO, is that this couple is asking for an assistant to basically do the things other people do for pure pleasure. Create and maintain an aquarium, take the dog swimming at the beach. ???

It's a wonder she didn't ask for an assistant to please sit and sip coffee and read that stack of books she's been meaning to get to.

i interviewed for a job for something like that. It was really interesting actually. The current person in the job was very frank and she did the first interview; the lady of the house did the second interview. I was told you need to be comfortable that more is spent on the dog each month than i earn as a salary. Need to be athletic to clean the boat (waterfront home in Seattle). Diplomatic to handle phone calls of people who were not invited to the annual holiday party and might be upset. Able to give tours of the 18-car garage that housed a collection of both sports cars and classic cars. Interact with the crew that was installing the gazebo and fountains. They said I was well suited for the job and passed the security check, however they needed someone larger and more athletic to handle the boat and the dog.
