EXACTLY. Everything you said.

Think about how ****ed up the system is.

A trained police officer who feels threatened can use deadly force to defend themselves.

Jane or Joe citizen, with zero training, has to remain calm when threatened and cannot defend themselves.

For this reason, police officers should have basically no room for error.

Cop should be fired! Who wants somebody like that out running around with a weapon??? His certification should be cancelled so he can't just slide over to another police department somewhere else.

Hard to imagine someone like that out walking around with a gun!!!

But no, big bully cop figured he would be a big shot and get the blood draw right then and there by bullying the nurse. He obviously didn't know who he was dealing with.
And the bully cop admitted there was no probable cause as the reason they couldn't.

Of course the policeman was totally out of line and he is going to pay for it. Physically resisting him is not the way to behave. No nurse is going to physically overcome a trained police officer. She is lucky she didn't get injured. That's how all those "black lives matter" people get hurt and killed by the police. It comes from resisting arrest.

Go quietly, be safe, let your lawyer handle it.

The officer is going to lose his job and pension, but even the police get to have their due process. That means there is an investigation before they are fired (or jailed)
NO, NO, NO. You do not understand the situation. She was letting her lawyer handle it. She was on the phone to the hospital legal department. The cops are the criminals in this case. They were acting like criminal thugs, trying to illegally obtain evidence. The nurse was complying with the law. The Police Chief, has confirmed this. The Mayor has confirmed it. The Police Chief of another police department has publicly thanked the nurse for complying with the law. This case is black and white.

As for the second part of your post, I agree. Anytime any American survives an encounter like that with the police, they are very lucky to be alive. Many, many, many people have complied with police orders, and still been killed by them for it. As a good citizen of this country your obligation is to understand the law, and comply with the law, not to break the law, because some criminal cop tells you to.

There are many more like him. You probably encounter them every day. This problem is way bigger than just one cop. At least two cops were involved in this case, including one supervisor. Then there was the Police Chief who dragged his feet and only suspended the cops a month later, after reporters at a news conference inquired as to why the cops were still on duty. That indicates the Police Chief didn't even think this was a big deal, until it blew up on him. We have a big problem with our law enforcement in this country. Bigger than just one cop.

In situations like this I am glad for Social Media. This story and videos have been all over Face Book and is no doubt on other Social Media as well. It sped like wildfire to the point where it was on national news on TV. All this had to force the police chief to do something more than just sweep it under the rug, too many people protesting the cop's behavior.

I doubt if there is any remorse on the part of the PD, just a lot of the covering up of a$$es. Hopefully the bullying cop will be the sacrificial lamb that loses his job so they can make themselves look good in all of this.
