A mom claims her 17-year-old daughter was branded 'busty' and 'plus sized' by a teacher and pulled out of class for wearing a blouse that 'didn't cover her cleavage properly'.
Melissa Barber says her daughter Kelsey Anderson was singled out in front of her peers at Joplin High School, in Joplin, Missouri, after the teacher claimed that her long-sleeved blouse and jeans violated the dress code.
Honestly, it doesn't look bad at all. Wonder what the teacher was thinking?
I think the shirt looks fine. She is female, her breasts will make an appearance! BTW, they are BREASTS, not BOOBS. I get so sick of hearing that term. Perhaps in casual conversation, but not at a professional level. IMO, the teacher was the one out of line, not the student.
An aside---I went for a mammogram about a year ago and the technician kept referring to my breasts as boobs, and boobies. I told her I prefer you use the correct term, which is breast. She then called them boobies. She said ok, lets just get your boobie centered right here... I told her no, I don't want to continue with you. You're rude, crude, and I doubt your level of competency by not using correct anatomical terms. She looked bewildered, but I said essentially, GET OUT and bring in a supervisor, or at least someone who knows how to act in a medical setting. Of course, I ended up waiting over an hour, but I made my point, which I followed up with a letter to their director.
I think that student was treated in an appalling manner. The teacher should be made to write 100 times on the board "Breasts are not called boobs"
Hopefully the student can be transferred to another teacher, but any way you handle it, she's in for a rough year.
What's the deal with some women who freak out at the sight of larger breasts? At one workplace I had to wear special, uncomfortable and expensive minimizer bras that flatten your breasts and very high necklines or get grief from some high level female staff members. And I'm only a 36 C+.
Imagine a D cup plus size trying to find something to wear. Better grab a burka!
Newsflash! Females have breasts. It's part of the anatomy. And you can't control how large or small
they are naturally.
And teenagers can be very self conscientious....it was really rude and unprofessional of the teacher
to make that remark.
She looks fine. Nothing Offensive or suggestive...except the teacher's remarks.
there is nothing wrong with the way that girl is dressed . I don't blame mama for suing sometimes you gotta hit people in the wallet to get them to listen because otherwise she may have been blown 'off by the principal and the school administration . If this is the kind of teachers they hire imagine how the principal acts .
