The blonde one wanted to start an organic farm in French Polynesia? Did she have a French residency visa??? She supposedly wanted to start a new life there?

When I heard they were "lost at sea" for over 5 months. I instantly thought BS. The truth will come out sooner or later.
These two were lost at sea all right. They're lost on the land too, and if you stuck them in an airplane, they'd be lost up there as well. They are just plain lost.
I want them to stop lying, but the exboyfriend of Appel says she has brain damage of some sort that leads her to very poor decision making. That type of TBI can lead to compulsive lying and not knowing the difference between reality and fiction.
I think if most people got caught in that lie they wouldn't continue it and they would hide from media. I'm guessing the account of her brain injury is correct. Now what is the other woman's excuse?
This doesn't sound like confabulation (which is what that's called) from TBI to me; they wouldn't (first of all) coordinate their stories and (secondly) stage things to look as if they're true in order to fool others in that case. So it's just lying...

Maybe just a pathological liar then. I mean...you really have to be off to lie to that degree and think people are buying it.
I had an uncle with a TBI from Viet nam and he told some whoppers, but your right, nothing was organized or plotted as this. It was like he was a 4 year old telling a story that just grew with imagination.
I still think they didn't know what they were doing and are lying to cover that up and maybe make some money off of it then that being their plan all along. They don't seem smart enough to have that planned from the get go.
Well, yes, that, too. But it's hard to believe she seriously was on her way to French Polynesia in that boat, to immigrate (to France, basically) and start a farm. Did she have money to buy land? This sounds like one big yarn.
Though I guess if she seriously were planning to immigrate to French Polynesia, it would at least explain why she brought her dogs......???
