I wish we could keep Daylight Savings Time year round. I like it light out later. I think I got it right what I want, not too sure though because it's confusing. I just know I hate it when it gets dark at like 4:30-5:00pm.
When the kids were little we'd tell the time was changing so they needed to go to bed an hour earlier, both in the spring and the fall. So once a year we'd get two extra 'kidless' hours on a Saturday night.
That's what is supposed to happen from November to January people!
Sheez I really am the opposite of most people. Put your headlights on and just deal!
It gets dark when it gets dark and it gets light when it gets light. We manipulate our boss, the clock.
Although my body does seem to sync best with "real time" I'd much prefer having daylight at 5 p.m. when I'm home and need to get a few things done outside. Having it at 6 a.m. on the commute to work isnt really helpful.
But in a few weeks it will be dark at 6 a.m. and at 5 p.m.

Last sentence: Correct! That is what happens this time of year. But why make it artificially dark for those who live their lives a little 'earlier'(early to bed, early to rise)? Sounds selfish, doesn't it?

Dark is dark. There's no way to make it artificially dark that I'm aware of. Time is a thing we created so your preference is what it is. It's not selfish if some like it differently than you.
