This makes me so sad. At age 4, my mom was beating me with extension cords until I could hardly breathe some times. When asked why, she said I was "bad" and that she was not gonna let me rule over her. How bad can a 4 year old be?!!? People like this are sick and truly deserve a place in hell.
My stepfather used to brutally beat me with his police belt for being “mouthy”. It taught me nothing but hate and contempt. People who abuse children are in the lowest level of Dante’s “Inferno”. I cannot fathom anyone doing that to a child. Take a time out, call a friend, a hotline. So sad, R.I.P.
This is probably why a 4-year-old was talking back, in the first place.
I'm not surprised someone who has convict in their name actually supports criminals lol
And I am surprised a short duration electric discharge can be sentient and participate in a web forum.
(That is a sarcastic way of saying my screen name does not reflect what I actually am or ever have been)
Furthermore, all I said was that smashing someone, anyone, over and over again in the face with a baseball bat is psychopathic. How is that supportive of criminals?
I think the main issue is that violent people don't belong in society. We should all be able to live together without inflicting harm on each other. And our individual right to stay safe and to not be assaulted/abused/murdered should supersede the rights of the psychopathic/violent to remain among us and inflict harm. Many people like to ascribe horrible behavior to mental illness and insist it is treatable. In the case of psychopaths, that is 100% wrong. They can't be treated, modified, nor cured. They are what they are and we, as a society, need to decide how to deal with them. I don't know what the answer is, but it surely isn't the refusal to acknowledge there are truly evil people who need to be removed from society permanently.
I said nothing at all about the mother, either in defense or otherwise. So, what you say above has nothing to do with me. What I said was aimed at the posters who appear to have a similar mindset to those who they would call 'monsters'. Am I supposed to support those who would smash this woman's face in with a rock? What kind of a person would that make me?
It would make you one who is ruled by logic rather than emotion.
You overlook a main difference: the child was a victim; the mother is the perpetrator.
It is logical to punish a criminal by the same means by which they "punished" their victim.
How is that the "similar mindset" as a criminal who victimizes an innocent? That is ludicrous.
If I were Queen criminals would receive the exact treatment they meted out, replicated as exactly as possible.
What do you want to accomplish with your torches and pitchforks comment? Of course it will bring out angry people. If anyone deserves the worst of the worst, it's this woman.
Which is exactly what I just said. But the angry-mob thing is no more right, just or civilized than what this woman did to her 4-year-old.

But decent people cannot enact such punishments. Where would you find such such people to act as your executioners.
Anyone who could torture and maim is probably a serial killer, at least potentially, already.
That is why people like those in this thread who have violent fantasies of brutality and torture are so dangerous. They have the same latent desires to inflict pain and revel in gore as the criminals themselves.

You keep using that word "fantasies" and I don't think anyone in this thread fantasizes about inflicting harm to this woman. The point is that I believe that people who kill children do not deserve an easy way out. They don't deserve life in prison and they don't deserve lethal injection because they will never know the level of pain they caused the child. In my opinion, she deserves to be treated like the piece of trash she is. Will that happen? Of course not and I realize that. She will be tried by a jury, 'probably' found guilty, and either will spend the rest of her life in jail (or in a mental facility if found to be mentally incompetent) or be executed. If she is to be executed, the state decides how this is to be carried out. Just because someone says something extreme doesn't mean they are going to be running through the streets carrying out violent fantasies as you seem to think.
