Amazing the men who are 60+ and have 2-4 yo kids.

My first rule of dating is they can no longer reproduce.

Agreed. He made a very bad choice, and paid dearly for it.

At least they met in person. On Tinder I'm getting swamped by 20-something hoochie mamas who expect men to make "online arrangements" (translation: send them money and gifts) before even thinking about meeting in person. WTF? The depths of desperation a man has to sink to in order to agree to that setup, it just staggers the imagination.

Anyways, what could possibly have gone wrong, going out with a woman 30 years younger than you, a woman with a criminal background?
I know a few women in their 40s still going through the sugar daddy phase. It seems to never end for some. These women are obsessed with getting silly gifts and trinkets from men, but the men never marry them. Sometimes, they'll get a free vacation somewhere, like Cancun. Most of those men won't leave their wives because a divorce would be too expensive for them.

I remember reading a story about a woman in her 40s who dated a married man for years and wanted him to put her in his will. He refused of course, naturally, he only wanted his wife and children to inherit. Duh. Married men don't leave mistresses anything in their wills because the will is usually made out by both spouses and the lawyer would be contacting the wife ASAP to let her know of any change in the will.

I guess a "well trimmed beard, and a nice pair of glasses...offered him no protection!

Those girls know the power they hold over some men and know how to use it to their advantage. They learn this at a young age too. I remember a few gals I dated that were close to a 9 or 10, they said when they got to be about 12-13 yo, they noticed men in general would start to look at them differently, they both said it was a very recognizable difference, looking at them almost like a piece of meat, and they also noticed what men would offer to do for them, or give them. Neither of these girls liked this attention, but they did say ALL girls that are remotely attractive, go thru the same thing and some do like the attention and learn to use it, hone their craft over time.

I see proof of this all the time, anytime I see news about teachers being caught in relationships with students, I would bet most of the time, it was the female student who initiated, and probably got something out of it in the process, passing grades, gifts, money, etc.

It takes two to tango, you can't blame one side over another in a Sugar Daddy relationship.

Both are getting what they want, and they know the coin they have to use to get it.

It's called picking each other's pockets.
