Doesn't have a thing to do with religion or Jesus Christ, and Charlie didn't perform hypnosis. His "hypnosis" was LSD, of which he seldom took himself.

Manson was a MASTER at reading what gullibles to prey on. And he's pulled that scheme ever since he was a grade school youngster. If he proved anything it's that there were stupids in every class that would eat his crap and he sure knew how to pick 'em.

Yes, religion had everything to do with it. He was raised as a Bible-basher and saw how much influence a religious leader can have on the gullible. His followers believed he was Jesus Christ, God, AND the Devil. And some of them were college educated, so you can't say they were just stupid. They were looking for someone to tell them what to do with themselves, what to believe, and he did that for them.

I just skipped through the thread and didn't read all of the responses, but that guy should have been dead years ago.

And at this time, he is still kicking. Like I mentioned in a previous post, Its not surprising. It's almost like he's spiting the world. This wacko must also delight in the fact he's outlived Dahmer, Ramirez and the other various predatory kooks that are around still.

Horse ****! That's on Charlie - not religion! He is responsible for all his actions and nobody else, nothing else. He chose to become a monster, Period. And I don't give a rip how educated most of his clowns were ~ to be that gullible presents a mighty stupid side to all of them, and their college degrees ended up not meaning a tinker's damn.
