"I don't believe in science," said Hughes, whose main sponsor for the rocket is Research Flat Earth. "I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that's not science, that's just a formula. There's no difference between science and science fiction."

Well sir, you better believe in God! Not sure he would be a fit candidate for Scientology!

That's one efficient headline. There's really nothing left to add, is there?

Pitiful, but not strange at all. There's a lot of lunatics that believe a lot of things.

There are people who believe that the US Income Tax is voluntary and you don't have to pay it.

There are people who believe that you can drive anywhere without a driver's license.

There are people who still believe that the Second Amendment isn't an individual right, despite two Supreme Court decisions.

Like I said: Lots of lunatics out there that believe all sorts of stuff.

Calling this genius "eccentric" just reveals your round-earth bias. For shame, sir!

I say we need more brave adventurers to keep testing the Earth's gravitational field to make sure it's still working and safe for the rest of us.

Right, I keep thinking the flat earth thing has to be a great exhibition of satirical comedy and there are a fair number that get the joke and perpetuate it.

That's a good idea, because after the flight (or perhaps the explosion on the ground), he won't likely be in any condition to appreciate the award. Needless to say, if this happens, it will be a YouTube favorite.

I am. Fools don't generally appreciate the company of their betters.

Well, if they truly believe this is some huge conspiracy, then they are setting themselves up to be 'suicided'...if they go up, take pictures, video of a real flat earth, since its a global scam, their images will never reach the public.

I say this jokingly, but wouldnt it be interesting if they did go up and come back and then a few days later, we hear on the news, they killed themselves or involved in a bad car wreck and it unfortunately destroyed all the pictures/ video they took?
