Didn’t he also say, “God, my Lord and Saviour”? Should’t that be “Jesus (or Christ) my Lord and Saviour”?

He sounds like a convenience Christian.

I've seen that mentioned. I think Mr. Hindt may be encouraged to leave behind the scenes before then. I think there is probably something else out there that hasn't been brought to the attention of the public yet.

Or worse...how he may have treated young teen girls when he was 18 or so.

As the mother of a pre-teen daughter, I assure you I wouldn't want his 50+ year old version around her either.

As someone who was once bullied in a Katy ISD school, I still know of my bully today and while he should have apologized, it’s been at least 7 years and he has changed, in 30 years bullies will change whether for worse or better, I think his past transgressions can be forgiven because as far as I know his past hasn’t lead to a ignorance of bullying as my bully was instantly punished when he physically attacked me, and as far as I know the same has been happening in Katy ISD since the time he has become superintendent but that is anecdotal evidence.

I too hesitate to hold something done as a kid against a grown up. But given his job and his reaction I believe it is time for this man to go. You really can't have a man with this past heading up a school district.

I also agree he appears to be a convenient Christian. Just because his new found religion allowed him to "wash away" his past does not mean his victims had their experiences washed away as well.

Yes, I think if one more violent act in his past is revealed, he will be out of there. Currently, the petition requesting his dismissal has about twice as many signatures as the petition to let him stay. At some point, a school board has to show some respect for the community it serves and also the people that were affected by Hindt's violent actions.

Any actual courtroom would be hard pressed to find anyone on this particular thread to serve on a jury of their peers.
