An amazing story, family finds daughter that was missing since she was 3 years old (24 years ago).

Seems like so many of these types of stories have sad endings or there is never any closure.

China family find lost daughter after 24-year search - BBC News

Quote:
Wang Mingqing and his wife Liu Dengying had looked for Qifeng since she disappeared aged three in 1994.

His tireless search included becoming a taxi driver, in the hope he might one day pick her up as a passenger.

His daughter made contact earlier this year after coming across an online post about him. At the tearful reunion he hugged her and said: "Daddy loves you."
This was before he found her:

What a sweet story. A father who never gave up searching and used common sense to find her.

Thanks for sharing OP!

Great story!

Reminds me of the movie "Lion" which is based on a true story.

I'm happy they found each other again.

Dna testing is relatively cheap at $69 during an Ancestry sale. Folks who want to find their people have a pretty good chance of doing so in this country.

Link is in the OP. Her dad left his sales booth to go next door and get change. When he came back a few minutes later, she was gone. Apparently whoever found her (she apparently wandered off) thought she had been abandoned and she was placed for adoption.
