Interesting, the U.S. government seems to really hate such a generally victimless crime.
These are not victimless crimes! The two business owners need to spend some time in prison for their efforts to support ads that allow young underage females to be taken advantage of or physically being harmed by the Johns who abuse them. There is no difference of whether you’re the owner and publisher of a rag like Backpage or if you’re a "pimp" standing on a street corner directing males on where to find young females. It’s disgusting!!!

I personally know at least a dozen who have used those ads in free will.

Circumventing rights and protection of all individuals to go after a single target is akin to banning all guns as a response to school shootings.

It is a scorch earth approach that sacrifices freedoms for and a political driven agenda.

Knowledgeable people know that prostitution itself assuming consenting adults are not victims.

Its trafficking that is the problem. The issue here is that they are treating the issue as a sex issue rather than a labor issue... Less knowledgeable people act according to emotion. How about those trafficked in nanny, restaurants, agriculture, hospitality services etc..? We ignore those victims... And trample over others

Interesting how many people are "experts" on sex trafficking. Unless you're an investigative reporter, involved in law enforcement, a victim, or a client, how did you gain your expertise? This isn't something that have any experience so I don't know how widespread it is.

I'm really interested in how many people seem to have a personal interest in these prostitution/child abuse/sex trafficking websites.

Things that make you go "hummmm?".

Well I guess there is clearly a market for it.

Then the government isn’t good as that their jobs of stopping it.

There’s still thousands of escort sites up and running...

You should ask all the sex workers paying money to post ads on it.

It sure as hell isn’t all the middle aged overweight balding men of America that bring money to these sites.

Hard to consider this a “win” then Johns can now go to a different site or the Asian massage parlor down the street.

Have you never heard of Franklin "Red Frank" Roosevelt? He shut down his opponents' publications. He pressured radio stations. Here's an example.

You first amendment heroes would be better off devoting your efforts to something like this rather than crying about the closure of a skeazy website that promotes sex trafficking.
