"A man has been jailed for 12 years after killing a woman when he rammed a car into mourners at his wife's funeral in far north Queensland.
Garry Paul Hudson, 57, was found guilty last week in the Cairns Supreme Court of the manslaughter of 48-year-old Delanne Zingle, 48, when he ploughed into a house full of mourners after a dispute over the funeral location.
He was sentenced on Monday and also banned for life from driving."

Anyone know if he was taking antidepressants? Whispers of usage emerge and quickly disappear and get buried after school shootings and crazy, senseless murders like this happen.

If not us, then who will demand answers and truth? The drug manufacturers are powerful and rich. Look to big tobacco to learn of all the deceitful ways a company can hide the deadly truth about their products while making them glamorous and "good for us" (More doctors recommend Camel cigarettes over all other brands. This was an advertised slogan during the 50s.)

So this man who can't control his anger kills someone, and it's the pharmaceutical industry's fault because he may have taken anti-depressants? I'm curious just what you would like to have done about it. Ban anti-depressants? Fine the manufacturers millions for something they had no control over?
You may be fortunate enough not to need such medicine, but for many people (myself included) they are necessary to have any manner of a normal & happy life. Your "burning down the barn to get rid of the rats" approach to a non-existent problem does way more harm than good, as such measures usually do.
I'm sorry this woman lost her life, but put the blame where it belongs.

So he just lost his wife? And then rammed into a house out of anger because people were fighting over where to have her funeral?
It sounds like he snapped, unable to manage his anger and grief. This doesn't erase what he did by any means, just an observation. Idk if they provide mental health counseling while in jail, but sounds like he might need it..

Yeah. He snapped. Antidepressants or no.

This is so sad.
