I wouldn't say it's necessarily a bad thing for doctors to make music videos during surgery but it seems like it might prolong the operation and distract them from their main mission.
Some patients claim they have suffered serious injuries, but maybe folks are making a big deal out of nothing.
(You have to scroll to the end of the story to see the actual music videos)
People are definitely not making a big deal out of nothing. This woman was filming her nude patients on the operating table and mocking their bodies.
Anyone who thinks this is no big deal should read the entire article and watch the 7 minute raw video at the end. She was posting these videos on YouTube.
She has multiple malpractice lawsuits and completely destroyed the life of one of her patients.
The nursing lady getting her PHD was about to get married and suffered brain damage from the procedure. The ATL Medical Board should also be on the hook.
This doctor has 6 malpractice lawsuits within the span of 6 months plus 4 that are pending. SUSPEND HER LICENSE!!
She sounds like a sociopath. How do people like this make it through med school, much less licensing??
We had a surgeon in my city who worked at the local university hospital. Turned out he was branding his initials onto the internal organs of his patients.
I certainly don't mind doctors playing their favorite music while operating on me; but they should not make music videos. Their prime concern during that time should be me, my operation, my welfare, what they're doing to me, how I'm reacting, not horsing around with videocameras. If I were ever to find out that someone was making a music video while operating on me, I'd sue them and the hospital and everyone remotely connected to the situation.
Yes! Hurting their money is the only way to make them realize their crime.

Talk about a narcissist...
Meeting some of the people I have in life, I'm not surprised to hear of a person doing such a thing. It's still really creepy though.
What about HIPAA? Nobody should be making videos in the operating room without written permission of the patient.
I see from that article that he's already killed one patient.
HIPAA is huge. With what she's doing, that hospital should have fired her long ago because HIPAA is going to rake in the guap in fines. Huge violations!!!!!!!

Yes, they should be on the hook. Can't believe someone is so brazen to think they can film their patient in the nude and post it online. And the fact that the surgeon is more concerned about having fun than the safety of their patient...it's so horrible...

I believe they said she isn't licensed? Not sure. I'm in the middle of work but I think that's what I heard. Plenty of unlicensed plastic surgeons out there.
