Horrible, I can only imagine what the husband is going through.

This scumbag is out on bail, he deserves a life sentence.

An Ohio mother and her 21-month-old daughter are dead after they were run over by a teen allegedly racing another car in Florida.

Jessica Raubenolt, 24, was pushing her daughter Lillia in a stroller across the street on Wednesday when a Ford Mustang slammed into them, according to police.

Mother and daughter were rushed to Tampa General Hospital, where Jessica was pronounced dead. Lillia was put on life support but late Thursday she passed away.

This is just horrible...yes poor dad/husband.

Why are teenagers, boys, so ignorant of the consequences of their actions???

Racing on an abandoned road we've heard of, racing in the middle of the day in a busy Tampa area, just unbelievable...

There's probably multiple answers to that question, but I think "the excitement of doing something you're not supposed to be doing, and getting away with it" is probably most of it. Add in youthful immortality, lack of life experience of past mistakes, poor judgment of your limitations.... and all of that behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.... then you're going to have things like this happen. I don't know what penalty they will end up paying, but the worst might be having a guilty conscience for the rest of their lives. That is if they have a conscience at all, and take responsibility. Few people do these days.

They condoned the careless activity by being part of it, sharing the thrill. If they had refused to ride along because they felt it wasn't a great idea, they wouldn't be here now. The passenger could have pressured the driver, warned about doing something stupid on a city street, but didn't. That's what is being punished.

Young teens and adults do a lot of stupid things, not to condone their actions, just an observation.

So should we punish the friends and acquaintances of bullies because they didn't protest the actions? Or are all of them responsible when continual cruel actions of bullies create the monsters that commit mass killings in our high schools?

I get the excitement issue, but this was downright dumb, stupid and dangerous for them all and others, being in the middle of the day, on that busy road.....they had to know they wouldn't get far due to traffic.

No I don't think teenagers can feel appropriate angst for their decisions, not at that age. They'll be sorry they wrecked their cars....

Because they’re teenage boys. For some, youth is about taking risks and testing the limits

In all fairness, in America we grant a drivers license far too easily to folks who are far too young compared to other countries. I had a driver’s permit when I was 16, no one should be allowed to drive a vehicle at that age based on the statistics of all the teens who die behind the wheel. The brain is still developing.
